Meet the artist,

Herb Lucas

A New England native who resides in Bedford, New Hampshire, Herb travels the coastline, the back roads, hills and valleys of northern New England looking to photograph scenery that provides inspiration. He uses those images to masterfully put oil on canvas. Seacoast nuances, barns in autumn and winter, and relics in fields are among some of Herb’s popular paintings featuring subtle, yet extraordinary, detail.

Herb’s works have been published by the New York Graphic Society and the Limited Editions by Premrose Press. His paintings hang in private homes and collections, as well as in numerous public venues. His works have been shown at the First National Marine Exhibition, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; American Artists Professional League, Salamagundi Club, New York City; Springfield Art League National Exhibit, Springfield, Massachusetts; the Academic Artists Association National Exhibition, Springfield, Massachusetts; Southern Vermont Art Center, Manchester, Vermont; and the Stratton Mountain Art Festival, Vermont. Herb is a member of The Southern Vermont Art Center, The American Artist Professional League, Oil Painters of America and Allied Artists of America.
