Back Shore
This scene is located on Peaks Island off the coast of Portland, Maine. We have family that owns a small cottage on Peaks, so my wife and I frequently visit the tiny island. We enjoy heading out for afternoon walks around the circumference of the island where beach plum roses border rocky coastlines. Some days I take quick photographs, while others days I return to a certain scene by myself. In isolation, I take many shots of waves hitting the jutting rocks and bracket pictures to catch different hues of light. After spending several days there, I collected many photographs to paint.
