Birches
This scene in Southern New Hampshire had Morgan horses grazing on the east side of a valley pasture. I initially went to photograph the horses, but found that a beautiful early-morning sunlight changed my focus. I enjoyed how simple it was that sun could hit a line of birch trees and create long shadows running across the grass in the foreground. I just had to paint the scene.
