Fall Harvest

I painted this scene with the expectations that it would never be printed or sold. It would be a painting that I keep in my home for my enjoyment. It is my only painting that I used a professional photographer’s print as a reference point. After numerous requests to publish this painting in the form of limited edition prints, I obtained permission from the photographer.

I enjoyed working with this subject matter because it mixed traditional still life with my common theme of farming. All summer long, I spend countless hours evening and weekends working in my garden. This simple shot of freshly picked vegetables represents most of my life.
